As our first in-house application for the iPod and iPhone, Logo Me was a strong foot forward. The idea of designing images based on words is neat and exciting for people, and we learned that being the designers and programmers was a challenge we had to meet.
We were very proud of our first rendition, and thanks to positive support from friends and customers, we are excited to introduce some major user experience improvements.

Some of these improvements include:
1)	A “Quick Tips” system – One of the biggest problems we noticed was a lack of direction for the user. The new tip system pops up when the application is run for the first time, and it helps guide the user through designing a logo. The tips also turn off for advanced users.
2)	Shape Selector interface – Choosing shapes to recolor has been made a lot easier with the new design interface. Now when a user presses the design button, he/she is given a list of shapes to choose from. It is still possible to simply tap the shapes, but selecting a shape from the list takes the guesswork out of trying to touch the logo. The shape selector also makes it possible to change the color of the background of the logo.
3)	Improved color selection – All three pages of the design interface have been improved.
a.	The palette has bigger color squares and a highlight showing the last selected color.
b.	The sliders page has been rearranged a little to make using all the sliders more natural. Also, text boxes have been added to display the RGBA values of the sliders; they are editable so any value can be entered into them.
c.	The themes page is now a scrolling table, which is much easier to use than the crammed buttons that were available before. This also allows us to implement more color patterns, including an “Original” theme to reselect the beginning colors. Every theme in the list shows the colors next to the name, so they are visible before choosing.

Besides these interface improvements, a few other key features have been added as well: logos are now saved to the photo album at a much higher resolution, and you can now share logos with all your Facebook friends by posting them to your newsfeed.

Be on the look out for more apps from Digital Spark, and be sure that an even better Logo Me will be on its way in the future!

--JW
After much anticipation, we are launching our official company web site as we also prepare to launch our 2nd app for the iPhone, available for purchase on the iTunes App Store on May 2nd (see Products page for more details). This site was cheerfully developed through our friend, iWeb - our favorite web development program “for dummies”. If you find any glitches on the site, your feedback is appreciated, and we will do our best to make necessary corrections. Email webmaster@digitalspark.us.

Thank you,
Digital Spark Webmaster, aka The BOM
